Histon and Impington

Infant School

Year 2

Welcome to Year Two!

This page will share with you key information for our year group.  We were unable to hold our usual Information Evenings at the start of the year and so we recorded audio commentary over the slides that we prepared.  These can be found in the Our Children Tab and in the Messages for Children section of the website.

Curriculum

The curriculum maps for each of our topics are available at the bottom of this page alongside our half termly year group newsletter.  Further information about the Histon and Impington Infant School's curriculum can be found in the curriculum section of the website.

Homework

Homework is sent home each Friday in the form of a 'Weekly Roundup'.  It will summarise the learning that has taken place each week and let you know what we will be learning moving forward.  There will be information about the phonics/spelling patterns that we have covered.   In addition, there will be learning challenges linked to different areas that can be completed in their homework.  Homework must be back in at school by Thursday at the latest.

Mathletics

All of the children in our school have access to Mathletics online.  They all have a username and password that has been sent home.  There are hundreds of activities that can be accessed and the children can compete with other children around the world to rehearse their recall of number facts.  Please follow the link below to access the website.

Useful Website Links

Lots of parents have asked about links for websites to support the children's learning at home.  Please find a number of links below.
